Arsenal lost further ground in the title race after a thrilling 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge saw Mikel Arteta's men fall 9 points behind leaders Liverpool.

The first half was evenly matched, as both sides tried and failed to break the deadlock.

Cole Palmer tested Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya early on, while Malo Gusto missed a golden opportunity, heading over from six yards out.

Arsenal's best chance came when Gabriel Martinelli's weak effort was saved by Robert Sánchez, after being sent through on goal.

The second half saw Martin Odegaard have more of an impact on proceedings, and he made an instant impact on his return to action, setting up Martinelli for the opener.

However, Chelsea equalized 10 minutes later through Neto, who collected a pass from Enzo Fernandez, before unleashing a fierce striker past Raya.

Both sides probed in the closing stages but a draw was probably the fair result.

Chelsea's search for a first H2H win since August 2021 continues, but they remain third in the league.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are now nine points off leaders Liverpool and without an away Premier League win since mid-September.
