Chelsea's future Nicolas Jackson tops Premier League offensive stat

Chelsea’s rising star Nicolas Jackson has surprisingly secured the top spot for a key attacking statistic in the Premier League. 

Jackson, who is not the most popular among Chelsea fans, seems to have caught the attention of CIES Football Observatory following their latest issue. 

As long as Premier League today's news is concern, while the 22-year-old has divided opinions amongst Chelsea fans and football followers since he arrived from Villarreal in the summer, the Senegalese seems to be doing something right on the pitch.

According to the reliable CIES, Jackson has contributed significantly to Chelsea’s attacking play, earning him accolades and recognition in their statistical report. 

According to their latest issue, the youngster is topping the chart for sprints in the offensive phase of the game in the Premier League.

Per the CIES, the latest issue of their report covers players with record values in 40 competitions around the world.

The data is based on three indicators; distance covered, number of sprints during possession, as well as sprints in the defensive phase of the game, all measured per 90 minutes of presence on the pitch.

Jackson’s stat speaks volumes about his influence on Mauricio Pochettino’s attacking strategy at Chelsea. 

Despite this influence, it has not resulted in more goals and assists for the young forward and his Chelsea side. 

Jackson has a credible record of six goals and assisted one more this season for the Blues in the Premier League

Meanwhile, another Premier League star who made it to the list is Tottenham skipper, Heung-Min Son.

The 31-year-old tops the chart for the number of sprints on the defensive side of the game in the Premier League.
