Christmas Doings: Like Osimhen, 21-year-old Nigerian footballer spotted sharing rice to women in Port-Harcourt

Nigerian rising star Chibuike Nwaiwu, has melted hearts with a touching display of generosity during this festive season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who previously played for Enyimba, returned to his hometown in Port Harcourt to spread Christmas joy in a way that has gone viral on social media.

In a video circulating online, the Wolfsberger AC midfielder is seen distributing essential food items to women in his community.

Bags of rice, cooking oil, and sachets of tomato paste were among the items handed out, bringing smiles to the faces of many.

The selfless act has earned him praise from fans on X, with one commenting, “If you no come from the street, you no go understand how much this food stuffs will help these mothers. His career will be forever rosy in Jesus name (amen).”

Another remarked, “I’m touched by this gesture from Chibuike. God bless you richly for remembering the needy.”

Currently in his debut season with Wolfsberger AC after joining the Austrian side back in September, Nwaiwu has been a standout performer, featuring in 11 matches and contributing a goal and an assist.

Nwaiwu’s charitable act comes just days after Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen captured headlines for his own acts of kindness.

This Christmas, the Galatasaray striker, currently on loan from Napoli, donated tricycles and bags of rice to his community in Olusosun, Lagos.
