In a recent Instagram video from the Champions League, Hazard was challenged to remain silent until he heard the name of a better dribbler than him.

Various top players were mentioned, including Riyad Mahrez, Neymar, Raphinha, Rafael Leao, Vinicius Junior, Lamine Yamal, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia amongst others.

Hazard stayed quiet through all names, only responding when Lionel Messi’s name was brought up.

After briefly shaking his head in thought, Hazard said simply, “Yes, Messi,” confirming the Argentine as the sole dribbler who surpasses him.

The former Chelsea winger retired from professional football two years ago at the age of 32. During his time at Stamford Bridge, which began in 2012, Hazard made 245 Premier League appearances, scoring 85 goals and assisting 54 more.

Hazard’s glittering Chelsea career saw him win two Premier League titles, cementing his place as one of the finest players to have graced the competition.

He was named Premier League Player of the Season in 2014/15, earned the Playmaker Award for 15 assists in the 2018/19 campaign, and claimed the Premier League Player of the Month award twice.

Beyond domestic success, Hazard played a key role in Chelsea’s two UEFA Europa League triumphs, an FA Cup victory, and an EFL Cup win. After leaving Chelsea in 2019, he joined Real Madrid, where he concluded his club career.
