2010 FIFA World Cup winner with Spain Sergio Ramos has been sent off again in his career, this time while playing for Mexican side Monterrey.
The 38-year-old defender, who has a reputation for his fiery temperament, was given his marching orders for a petulant kick at rival Guillermo Martinez during Monterrey's 3-1 win over Pumas.
What Ramos said
Ramos, who has been dismissed 26 times during his career, including a record 20 times in La Liga, took to social media to poke fun at his latest red card.

"It was obvious I couldn’t leave this league without a red card," he joked.
Victoria muy importante ante un rival complicado en un campo difícil. Tiempo para descansar y pensar en el siguiente.

P.D.: Estaba claro que no me iba a ir de esta liga sin una roja 😜. ¡+3 y seguimos!

However, not everyone was amused by Ramos's antics. Pumas head coach Efrain Juarez was critical of the Spanish defender's behaviour.
"Whatever his name, he has to be an example. If someone from our country had done that, they’d be out from the 20th minute, not the 90th. That bothers me. We must protect our football. He elbowed a kid who just the day before said he was his idol," he said via Goal.
Ramos, who is serving a one-year contract with Monterrey, will now face a suspension for his transgression.
The veteran defender has made a strong impact in Mexico, scoring three goals in five appearances for Monterrey.
