Gift Orban's struggles continue as Gent's 11-game unbeaten streak comes to an end

These are not the best of times for Nigeria Super Eagles forward, Gift Orban, who endured another barren spell for his club side, KAA Gent.

Orban, known for his scoring prowess finds himself in an unexpected drought, while his Gent team, riding high on an unbeaten streak, eventually faces a formidable test in the Belgian Jupiler.

The 20-year-old’s name has typically resonated with goal-scoring finesse but has been facing an unusual challenge. 

For a player known for scoring goals, Orban has now extended his drought to eight matches across all competitions after firing blanks again on Sunday.

He was on the pitch for just over an hour as Gent went, saw but failed to conquer their hosts Cercle Brugge following a 2-0 defeat.

The youngster has now scored just two goals in eight appearances this season for Gent. 

Orban’s goal drought has left both fans and pundits curious about what might be the cause.
