'He can play there' — Arsenal boss Arteta reveals replacement for injured Saka
Mikel Arteta is slowly adjusting to life without Bukayo Saka, as his star player is expected to be out of action for two months.
The England international was replaced by Leandro Trossard and is now expected to be out until February 2025.
Saka will be a big miss for Arsenal as they navigate a trying period and Arteta must find solutions.
Arteta reveals Saka replacement for Arsenal
Speaking ahead of this weekend's meeting with Ipswich, Arteta backed Gabriel Martinelli to replace Saka.
“Martinelli played there before and he played there against Everton in the last match of last season.
“He did really well. He’s a good option to have. We are on it”.
Martinelli has been used mostly at left wing this season to minimal effect and this could be an opportunity to unlock a new side to his game.
The Gunners will be hoping for victory this weekend to keep them on Liverpool's trail at the top of the Premier League.
