‘He is very intelligent’ - Alex Iwobi heaps praise on ex-Arsenal star

The ex-Arsenal star completed his move from the Gunners to Fulham for a club-record deal worth £27 million, with the potential for an additional £7 million in performance-related add-ons.

Smith Rowe played his second game for Fulham against Leicester and scored his first goal for his new club.

Marco Silva's team took the lead Smith Rowe took advantage of a pinpoint pass from Adama Traore. His strike was so good that goalkeeper Mads Hermansen had no chance of stopping it.

Smith Rowe has been praised by Nigerian international Iwobi, who used to play alongside him at Arsenal.

Iwobi said, according to Daily Mail, “He’s such an attacking threat, very intelligent on and off the ball, and he’s the sort of player we need, especially as we’re trying to be a bit more dynamic.” 

The ex-Arsenal star's offensive ability and football acumen were emphasised, and he also mentioned how important his contributions will be to Fulham's goal of becoming a more potent force in the Premier League.

Iwobi has rapidly established himself as a vital member of the Cottagers team and is still improving under Silva's direction.

He'll want to keep up his current form and steer Fulham towards a successful league campaign as the season goes on.
