He will be fully ready - Galatasaray Journalist warns Liverpool to be ready for Osimhen ahead of UCL clash
The Nigerian striker sustained an ankle injury during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier while playing for Nigeria, keeping him out of last weekend's game and the UEFA Champions League opening match.
Following his injury, Galatasaray were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in their first UCL game of the season.
The 26-year-old is showing hopeful signs of recovery, although he has not yet returned to full training with the team.
Çınar speaks on Osimhen
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Çınar said that the Nigerian forward is still uncertain for this weekend's Super Lig matchup between Galatasaray and Konyaspor.
"Osimhen's chances of playing in the Konyaspor match are out of the question," he revealed, as reported by Habersarikirmizi.
"He is expected to get some playing time in the Alanyaspor match and be fully ready for the Liverpool and Beşiktaş matches. His condition is not serious, but they don't want to risk it," he said.
His return will provide the Yellow-Reds a huge boost and bolster their attempt to compete with the best teams in both domestic and European competition.
This season, Osimhen has scored goals in his first two starts against Caykur Rizespor and Kayserispor, continuing his strong play for the Turkish champions.
