‘He wouldn't give it to me’ — Salah reacts to Carragher’s snub following criticism of contract issue
A remarkable performance from Salah helped Liverpool go nine points clear of Arsenal and 11 points clear of Manchester City in the title race.
A comfortable 2-0 victory with each goal scored in either half extended Guardiola’s losing streak to four defeats in a row in the Premier League.
The loss sends Manchester City to fifth on the league table, with Guardiola struggling to get his team back on track.
Salah reacts to Carragher’s snub
Salah has reacted to Carragher after the former Liverpool defender opted not to present the Player of the Match award to the winger.
Carragher snub shocked Virgil van Dijk, who expressed his shock to Salah. The captain said, "I'm surprised that Carra didn't give [the POTM award] to you."
Mohamed Salah then replied, "He wouldn't give it to me." 😅 as reported by CBS Sports Golazo on X, (Via Sky Sports).
It seems likely that Mo Salah has listened to @carra23's criticism of his handling of his Liverpool contract trouble.
The rift between both parties started a few days ago when Salah commented on his contract with Liverpool and claimed that his future at the club is uncertain.
His comment did not go well with Carragher, who claimed he was disappointed with the Egyptian and called him 'selfish’.
Meanwhile, Salah is yet to get an offer from the club hierarchy about his contract extension at the club with his future still left unsolved.
