Amrouche speaks ahead of Super Eagles clash
During his unveiling, Amrouche expressed his eagerness to take on the task while emphasising the importance of support from both his employers and the Rwandan people for achieving success.
In quotes relayed by the New Times, he said, "I work a lot, I'm not a coach who talks too much.
“Everyone has a role to play for the team's success including the journalists because you are part of the development of football. Me alone, I can't do anything. Everyone must get involved."
Amrouche has coached several African national teams, including Equatorial Guinea, Burundi, Kenya, Libya, Botswana and Tanzania.
Meanwhile, Rwanda currently leads Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with seven points after four matches.
Nigeria has no margin for error in their quest for a 2026 World Cup berth, as they currently trail Rwanda, South Africa, and the Republic of Benin by four points after four matchdays.
The match between Rwanda and Nigeria will take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on March 21.
