Ibrahim Olawoyin: Super Eagles star on target for Rizespor in Turkey

In Turkey, Super Eagles of Nigeria star Ibrahim Olawoyin was on target for Rizespor against Adana Demirspor.

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ibrahim Olawoyin has continued his good form in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 27-year-old was on target for Rizespor as they recorded a 3-2 home win against Adana Demirspor.

In a matchday 21 fixture at the Caykur Didi Stadyumu, Olawoyin was named in the starting lineup with compatriot Babajide Akintola.

Olawoyin scored the first goal of the game in the 30th minute assisted by Hojer Nielsen.

That was the only goal of the first half, and after the break Rizespor doubled their advantage.

Olawoyin was the provider for Ali Sowe to score the second in the 47th minute.

Adana Demirspor pulled one back through Bunyamin Balat in the 52nd minute.

Rachid Ghezzal converted a penalty to put Rizespor back up two goals in the 69th minute.

Maestro pulled one back for Adana Demirspor in the 83rd minute as Rizespor held on for three points.

Olawoyin featured for 89 minutes before he was substituted for Samet Akaydin.

Olawoyin joins the battle for a spot in the Super Eagles of Nigeria squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with Cyriel Dessers also in good form at Rangers.
