Israel Adesanya says Most Lagos women are Runs Girls - Nigerian Stylebender blasts proud ladies

New Zealand Mixed Martial Artist of Nigerian descent "The Last Stylebender," also known as Israel Adesanya continues to dominate the trends.

His recent remarks on women in Lagos, Nigeria, have sparked controversy on social media

Adesanya controversially called several Lagos ladies "runs girls" in a video posted on his official X account on Monday, August 26.

The phrase "runs girls" refers to sex workers in Nigeria and "Ashewo" in Yoruba.

Speaking in Yoruba, Adesanya criticized what he saw as some Lagos women's ostentatious attitude, implying that their high-maintenance lifestyles are frequently financed by their prostitution.

He advised them to stop constantly bragging and flashing their wealth and to instead take on a more modest and amiable manner.

He said, “Lagos women like to feel themselves and are proud. Most of you are runs girls.

"I know the meaning of runs girls now. Kobo kobo, ashewo,” Adesanya remarked, indicating that he is aware of the term of the word and its implications.

Adesanya lost the UFC middleweight title to South Africa's Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia, and returned to Lagos a few days later.

Adesanya was welcomed with open arms to his Nigerian hometown despite the loss.

He then teamed up with another UFC star Sodiq Yusuff for an amateur boxing exhibition.

Adesanya has since been enjoying his stay in Lagos.

The African UFC fighter looks like he's having a blast in a bunch of amazing social media posts that are going viral right now.

In one of the videos from Lagos, "The Last Stylebender" walks inside a grocery shop and is swarmed by enthusiastic fans.

Adesanya boasted about how much he loved Lagos' nightlife on his Instagram stories, calling it "lit."

Adesanya also displayed some of the foods he consumed, such as Fan Yoghurt, Suya, and snails.

Despite rumors that he would be travelling to South Africa shortly, Adesanya still seems to like his stay so far in Nigeria.
