The Nottingham Forest manager anticipates a conversation with owner Evangelos Marinakis in the coming days, but refuses to throw in the towel.

Speaking after the game, as reported by Sportal, the Portuguese manager criticised his team's attitude, especially from the start of the second half: "We didn't have the urgency this game required.

"We played the way West Ham wanted us to and made mistakes that cost us. We will analyse this internally to ensure it doesn't happen again."

Despite highlighting a balanced first half, Nuno lamented Forest's drop in performance in the second 45 minutes. "The second half was poor. We should have done much more. We'll go home, watch the game, and try to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Nuno Espírito Santo made his intention to remain at Forest clear at a time when he is rumoured to be on his way out due to disagreements with owner Evangelos Marinakis and director of football operations Edu Gaspar.

The Portuguese coach revealed he will soon speak with the Greek owner to discuss the future: "We're going to have a meeting to figure out what to do to improve. It's a difficult day for me; we need to talk things over. This result doesn't help, but we have to understand what the club needs. My job is to help the team; we have to take our chances and play better football."

The two consecutive dropped points against Crystal Palace (1-1) and West Ham (0-3) have not dampened Nuno's optimism, who still sees the glass as half full. "It's a sad day, we're upset, but we have another chance to make things right. I have to do everything in my power to help the lads."
