Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka has played down talks of them winning the Premier League, believing it is too early in the season.

The Gunners currently lead the rest of the pack on the Premier League table and will be the leaders at Christmas after earning a difficult point at Anfield.

Arsenal were the league leaders going into the clash against Liverpool, but defeat would see them replaced at the top by the Merseysiders. Gabriel Maghalaes gave the visitors an early lead, but Mohammed Salah equalised much later in the game, as both sides shared the spoils.

What Saka said

Following the draw at Anfield and the confirmation that they will be the leaders at Christmas, as they were at the same point last season, Saka was asked about Arsenal’s title chances, and he had the following to say:

“I don't think that you can talk about the title yet,” he said, per the BBC.

“I think it is still way too early for those discussions. We will take the point; we are still top of the table for Christmas, which is nice, but it is still too early for title talk.”

Speaking about the result, he said, "I think we are a bit frustrated, I am a bit frustrated that we haven't won, but when you come to Anfield and leave frustrated that you haven't won it says a lot. Credit to Liverpool; they played well, we played well too, so it could have gone either way in the end.”

"I think there are certain moments in the game; of course, they had their own moments, but sometimes in the final third that final pass or shot did not go the right way, which is frustrating.”
