Jackson to Man Utd: Red Devils face Premier League competition for Chelsea striker
Nicolas Jackson’s Chelsea future has come under scrutiny in recent months, with the Blues frontman rumoured to be on his way out.
Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 after a prolific, though unsustainable, scoring run for the Yellow Submarine.
The Senegal international has since netted 14 league goals in 35 Premier League games in year one at Stamford Bridge, which was followed up by 10 league strikes in 30 matches last season.
However, reservations about Jackson have persisted, and recent red cards against Newcastle United in the Premier League and Flamengo in the Club World Cup have tested the patience of fans.
Furthermore, the acquisition of Joao Pedro and the former Brighton forward’s bright start under Enzo Maresca have fed the belief that Jackson is on borrowed time at Stamford Bridge.
Will Jackson join Man Utd?
Jackson, whose Chelsea contract expires in 2033, has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United, although no concrete bid has been submitted.
According to Fabrizio Romano, while the forward is deemed too expensive by AC Milan, several Premier League clubs are keen to sign the 24-year-old from the Blues.
Although the transfer expert did not reveal interested teams, the player’s two-year experience of English top-flight football, age and potential make him an attractive prospect for any buyer.
🚨🔵 Several clubs have started to move for Nicolas Jackson as his exit from Chelsea remains possible this summer.

Furthermore, the striker’s reported £ 100,000-per-week wages should not be a problem for Premier League clubs to match or possibly outdo.
When is Chelsea’s next match?
Chelsea’s next match is against Bayer Leverkusen on August 8, followed by a game against AC Milan on August 10 as part of the 2025 VisitMalta Weekender mini-tournament.
Unlike other Premier League clubs, the Blues will start pre-season late due to exertions at the Club World Cup.
The players have since left for their post-season holidays, with the team expected to reconvene in three weeks.
