This is after CAF announced that this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League will be used to assess Ivory Coast’s level of preparedness ahead of the men’s continental final.

“The eight-team tournament will help the Ivorians test their systems ahead of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which kicks off in January 2023,” CAF said in a statement.

By being the domestic champions, the club owned by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo will have a chance to battle for the CECAFA qualifier that they’ll host later in the year.
