KCCA to promote young defender to senior team

Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC are moments away from netting down young defender James Mubeezi to a senior team contract.

According to reliable sources at the club, Mubeezi will get promoted and sign a three-year contract with the Kasasiro Boys.

The player, whose versatility is well known and admired by the technical team at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, is a graduate of the club's junior team.

He was a crucial part of their U-20 team that played and won the Cambiasso and Rainbow International Tournament in Tanzania in 2020.

His most recent adventure had him at Mbale Heroes FC on loan, a side he helped secure promotion from the Regional League to the FUFA Big League.

Mubeezi has also previously featured for Kyadondo Ssaza in the 2021 Masaza Cup, while in the ongoing edition, he is a member of Mawokota Ssaza.

Should he make the senior team, he will compete with the likes of Haruna Lukwago, Mustafa Mujuzi, Geofrey Wasswa, Peter Magambo, among others.
