LaLiga: Uche strikes to lead Getafe to victory against Girona

Getafe extended their unbeaten LaLiga streak to six matches with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Girona at the Estádio Municipal de Montilivi.

The visitors took an early lead through Christantus Uche, who finished clinically into the bottom-left corner after a costly slip by Ladislav Krejčí.

After constant pressure, Girona finally equalised on the hour-mark as Yangel Herrera powered a header into the far corner.

However, Getafe regained the lead instantly after José Bordalás introduced Borja Mayoral, who buried a rebound from close range with just his second touch.

Girona pushed for a second equaliser but Herrera saw red for a bad challenge and that sucked all the momentum from the hosts.
