Lando Norris and Magui Corceiro: F1 star finally goes public with on-and-off girlfriend who dumped former Chelsea star
McLaren driver Lando Norris appears to have publicly confirmed the rekindling of his romance with long-time on-and-off girlfriend, the Portuguese actress-model Margarida Corceiro.
Their joint arrival at the Hungaroring paddock on Saturday, ahead of Norris' impressive third-place qualifying run, has officially sealed what months of speculation had hinted at.
What’s the gossip?
Norris, 25, and Magui Corceiro, 22, have been a subject of keen interest among fans and paparazzi alike, with their relationship status oscillating between "on" and "off."
Reports in late 2024 had suggested a brief split after they had attended several events together throughout the year.
However, the rumour mill went into overdrive when the pair were repeatedly spotted together over the last year, notably at the Monte Carlo Masters in April 2024.
The most significant hint came in May, during the Monaco Grand Prix, where Margarida was seen sitting alongside Norris' mother, Cisca Wauman, cheering on the British star to victory – a clear sign that things were heating up again.
However, their public debut at the Hungaroring this past Saturday left little doubt.
Margarida and Norris also arrived together for Sunday’s main race, after the British driver secured podium during Saturday’s qualifying.
Their latest public appearance marks a significant shift from August 2024, during the Dutch Grand Prix, when Norris revealed he was single.
When asked if he wanted to get a dog, he replied, “I don’t have time for a dog. If I do, I need a girlfriend, I don’t have one,” seemingly confirming his single status at the time.
It appears the couple have since settled their differences and are back on.
Who is Margarida Corceiro? Lando Norris’ girlfriend
Margarida Corceiro is a formidable presence in her own right, boasting a significant career and huge social media following.
Hailing from Santarem, Portugal, the 22-year-old has amassed over 2.1 million Instagram followers and more than 817,000 followers on TikTok, highlighting her considerable influence.
As an actress, she has made a name for herself in Portuguese television dramas and is a regular feature in high-profile campaigns for brands like Intimissimi and Alo Yoga.
Though, critics of the stunning model argue that Magui bagged major roles on screen solely due to her colossal following.
Magui competed in Portugal’s version of Dancing with the Stars back in 2020.
Furthermore, she is a co-founder of the eco-conscious swimwear brand Missus and has also graced the pages of Vogue Portugal.
Before her romance with Norris, Margarida was famously dated Portuguese footballer and former Chelsea star Joao Felix from 2019 to 2023.
Their relationship ended controversially, as she took to social media to confirm her split from the footballer, who recently signed with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
‘John and I shared achievements during some years, at a stage of change, growth and learning. Not being together as a couple for some time, I am lucky to continue being a part of his life. We appreciate the messages from all whom really cares with us.', Corceiro wrote via her Instagram story.
At the time, it was rumoured that Magui allegedly cheated on Felix, as she was heavily linked to Spanish defender Pedro Porro.
Porro, who sealed a move to Tottenham from Sporting CP on deadline day in January that same year, shut down the rumours and insisted that 'no one is being unfaithful'.
"The situation that is happening yesterday and today is very uncomfortable ... I have a special relationship with her, no one is being unfaithful to anyone. My image is not going to be stained by anything and less by things like this. I can do whatever I want. Stop tarnishing the image of the three of you because you don't." Porro was quoted to have said at the time.
However, till date, there was no confirmation that it was true, as the pair were spotted again together last year.
Magui sparked reconciliation rumours after she posted a picture of herself and Felix’s dog on social media.
However, Felix responding to a Twitter post debunked the rumours.
"It's not true! I am single,” he wrote.
Magui’s relationship with Norris reportedly began in May 2023, shortly after his split from another Portuguese model, Luisinha Oliveira – the same month, she publicly announced her split from her ex, Joao Felix.
Norris had publicly announced his amicable separation from Oliveira, posting on social media at the time, "After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our romantic relationship but remain good friends."
Now, with their on-again, off-again dynamic seemingly settled, the spotlight returns to his renewed romance with Magui.

Their formidable partnership and rivalry is propelling McLaren to a dominant position in the Constructors' Championship, where they are runaway leaders, leading Ferrari in second by 268 points, as they aim for back-to-back titles.
