Liverpool vs Arsenal: They are so strong — Jurgen Klopp raves about Gunners after 1-1 draw
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for Arsenal after Mikel Arteta’s side held them to draw at Anfield.
Liverpool dropped points at home for the first time this season in the clash against Manchester United last weekend, and this week, they hosted league leaders Arsenal.
Gabriel Maghalaes gave the visitors an early lead, but Mohammed Salah equalised much later in the game, as both sides shared the spoils. Victory would have seen Liverpool replace Arsenal at the top of the log, but Arteta’s side proved invincible.
What Klopps said
"Oh my god, how strong are they?" he exclaimed, per the BBC. “The good news is we are good as well.”
"In a game like this, going down early to a set piece is tough, especially with the speed of Arsenal. But the game we played, how we started second half we should have scored.
"We pass instead of shoot; four or five times we do that, it's a lesson. But generally, the game is great."
Salah scored Liverpool’s equaliser against the Gunners after ghosting past Oliksander Zinchenko and sending a rocket of a shot into the top corner to pull his side level in the 29th minute.
