However, Burnley managed to equalize late in the game through a Zeki Amdouni penalty, leaving fans to criticize Ten Hag's substitutions.

United's habit of conceding late goals continued to haunt them as Burnley's late equalizer secured a 1-1 draw. 

According to reports from the Sun, the frustration was palpable among fans, with one expressing disbelief: "Need a goal? Take off the striker?!?!? Makes sense."

Another fan criticized the decision, saying, "Jesus Christ Mainoo off instead of Eriksen. These bizarre substitutions will be the end of Ten Hag."

A third fan labelled the substitutions as "Absolutely shameful," while another commented, "The Hojlund sub was horrendous."
