MMA legend McGregor targets ₦5 billion in winnings thanks to Spain and Argentina in 2024 Euros and Copa America

Renowned MMA icon Conor McGregor has made a bold prediction about the outcome of the European Championship and could earn up to ₦5 billion if his predictions are correct.

McGregor confidently declared on his X account that Spain would win the 2024 Euros at the start of the tournament and went as far as to predict the exact scoreline of the final after La Roja qualified to play against England.

He announced his prediction again on social media, revealing that he placed a significant bet of €100,000 at the remarkable odds of 25/1 for Spain to win 3-1 against the Three Lions.

Should his prediction come true, McGregor stands to win €2 million in cash, in addition to €1.1 million for betting on Spain to win outright at the start of the tournament, totalling €3.1 million.

The Irish fighter also placed a substantial bet on Argentina winning the Copa America, banking on Lionel Messi and co to do the business against Colombia. Should both Spain and Argentina emerge victorious in their respective tournaments, McGregor would be in for a big payday, which would be great since his 36th birthday happens to be the same day as both finals.

Not all his bets have been as successful as the Spain and Argentina punts, as he had also predicted Cristiano Ronaldo would win the Golden Ball for the European Championship. Barring a miracle, that is a bet that McGregor will not be cashing out.
