Mo Salah to extend impressive record against PL strugglers Manchester United

Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah will be looking to extend his goal record in the Premier League when he leads the Reds against Manchester United this weekend at Anfield. 

Salah reached 200 goals for Liverpool last weekend as the Premier League contenders survived a scare against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. 

Liverpool will host arch-rivals United in the game of week 17 in the Premier League as they look to hold on to their new position as league leaders.

Jurgen Klopp’s men faced a scare against the Eagles after Jean-Philippe Mateta's goal handed the home side the lead.

However, the Reds, who look like real PL title contenders this season, came from behind to seal a 2-1 victory with Salah scoring a historic equaliser. 

The 31-year-old netted in the 76th minute, his 200th goal for Liverpool in all competitions, before Harvey Elliot came off the bench to steal the headlines with a late winner. 

This weekend, Liverpool are at Anfield and Salah will fancy his chances to extend that brilliant record against the struggling Red Devils.

Erik Ten Hag’s men will visit their rivals after two painful Champions League and Premier League defeats.

United were humiliated 3-0 at home in the Premier League by Bournemouth before Bayern Munich knocked them out of the Champions League at the same venue after a 1-0 win on Wednesday.

Ten Hag and his Devils know that this is not the right time to face Liverpool, who in this same fixture last season defeated United 7-0 in a performance of the season. 

Egypt’s Salah has played 12 matches against United and contributed 16 goals, 12 goals and four assists, and is surely a favourite to add to that tally when they clash on Super Sunday.

The former Roma man scored two goals and assisted two more the last time Liverpool hosted United at Anfield.
