Mya Lesnar: 7 interesting things to know about Brock Lesnar's daughter seen as a future athletics star

Brock Lesnar's daughter Mya, has been making the headlines in college sports after her outstanding achievement for her school Colorado State University (CSU).

The CSU junior made a remarkable impact at the recent Mines Alumni Classic, excelling in both the weight throw and indoor shot put events.

In the weight throw — an indoor equivalent of the hammer throw — she secured first place with an impressive mark of 21.11m. In the shot put, she launched her implement to a new School Record of 18.50m, which smashed the previous record of 17.55m and propelled her to the top of the NCAA standings.

Her excellent performances have made many now suggest that she will be a sports freak like her dad by becoming an icon and famous personality.

That being said, here are 7 things to know about the talented thrower tipped to be the future of athletics field events.

She is the daughter of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar and his ex-fiancée, Nicole McClain. Maintaining a low profile, Mya, along with her twin brother Luke, are the two children from Lesnar’s relationship with McClain.

She was born on April 10, 2002, and considers Alexandria, Minnesota her hometown. Mya attended Alexandria Area High School, played volleyball, and was the MN Shot Put Champion in 2019.

Mya transferred to Colorado State after spending her freshman and sophomore years at Arizona State University, where she competed in the shot put as a member of the Sun Devils’ track and field team.

Her stellar performance included two throws in the 16-meter range, securing her first place. Despite fouling her third and fourth-round attempts, she triumphed on her sixth throw to shatter the school record by almost 3 meters and earned the Mountain West Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award.

The versatile athlete competes in the Shot Put, Hammer Throw and Discus Throw events, and she's equally good at all three.

She was a criminal justice major at ASU and has said her dad has been the biggest influence on her career. Mya also expressed her desire to join the military, calling it her “dream job”.
