Nigeria's Victor Boniface hails Bayer Leverkusen resilient spirit in commanding UEL victory
Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has reacted to Bayer Leverkusen’s stunning victory in the UEFA Europa League, UEL.
Boniface was in fine form as Leverkusen kicked off their campaign with a commanding 4-0 demolition of Swedish champions, BK Hacken on Thursday night.
The Nigerian forward was again one of the stars as he contributed to two of the goals during his 71 minutes on the BayArena pitch.
Boniface show
On a chilly night in Leverkusen, the 22-year-old shone like the star he is as he scored one and assisted another to continue his brilliant start.
Boniface assisted partner, Florian Wirtz, for the opener before he latched onto a pass from man-of-the-match contender on the night, Amine Adli, to make it 3-0 in the second half.
The latest performance saw the youngster, who recently made his debut for Nigeria, add to his tally this season in what has been an excellent run of form since his transfer.
Boniface has now scored six goals and assisted three others in just six matches across competitions for his new side.

The talented striker took to his Instagram account to react to the win. Boniface was happy with his performance and also praised his team’s grit and determination in the match.
“+3, 1 goal, 1 assist.” he posted with his pictures from the match. “Nice team spirit,” he added.
Boniface and Leverkusen will now switch attention to the Bundesliga where they host newly promoted side, Heidenhiem, as they look to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
