Osimhen will be top 3 in Premier League — Ex-Man City star shocked Chelsea signed Joao Pedro instead of Nigerian ace

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards expressed shock over Victor Osimhen's decision to sign for Galatasaray, stating that the Nigeria international was good enough to be a top-three striker in the Premier League. 

Speaking on the Rest is Football Podcast, Richards admitted that Galatasaray were a big institution but insisted that Osimhen's talents require a much bigger club. 

“Osimhen signed a deal for four years at Galatasaray in Turkey. I can’t believe it,” Micah Richards said.

“A top player like that should be playing. Galatasaray is a massive club but in terms of European football, he could do better than that, in my opinion.

‘He’d be top a three No.9s in the Premier League. Fact. Joao Pedro is unbelievable, but you cannot say he’s better than Osimhen. Not a chance."

As Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen completed a permanent move from Napoli to Turkish giants Galatasaray in an astronomical €75 million transfer.

Osimhen, 26, officially landed back at Galatasaray with his girlfriend Stefanie Kim Ladewig and daughter Hailey True, and was greeted by a literal sea of adoring fans at Atatürk Airport's General Aviation Terminal.
