Osimhen's replacement scores winning goal for Napoli as they return to the top of the table

Antonio Conte's men headed into the game needing a win after Atalanta's 3-1 victory over Parma, while Roma were looking to get their season back on track. 

However, it was Napoli who showed they needed it most, with a 1-0 victory to return to the top of the Serie A table.

Antonio Conte fielded a strong side following the international break, with Romelu Lukaku leading the attack for Napoli.

Roma, on the other hand, lost their last game against Bologna before the international break and will be looking for a fresh start under new manager Ivan Juric.

The game started with Napoli looking to control possession but created little chances as the game went on.

The first half ended with both teams producing little chances and failing to get the first goal of the game.

Just a few minutes into the second half, Napoli took the lead. Romelu Lukaku was put through by Giovanni Di Lorenzo and he showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball into the back of the net. 

Napoli maintained their composure and deprived Roma of a way back into the game until the final whistle was blown.
