Petra Kvitova enters tennis Top 10 career prize money winners

Petra Kvitova defeated Elena Rybakina to be crowned Miami Open 2023 champion on Saturday (April 1st). The Czech rolled back her vintage years in the final, upsetting Rybakina 7-6(14), 6-2 to claim her first Miami Open title.

Following her victory, the 35-year-old became the second oldest player after Serena Williams to win the Miami Open, making it her 30th singles career title and ninth WTA 1000 title. 

She has also entered the Top 10 career prize money winners, thanks to her title in Miami. Below is the list of the best earners (male and female) based on their earnings from career titles.

The world No.1 has won 93 ATP singles titles, including a joint-record of 22 Grand Slam singles titles (tied with Rafael Nadal), six ATP Finals titles, and a record 38 ATP Masters titles.

Nadal has won a joint record 22 Grand Slam men's singles titles, including a record 14 French Open titles. He has 92 ATP singles titles, including 36 Masters titles, with 63 of these career-winning titles on clay courts. 

The Swiss former professional tennis player has won 103 ATP singles titles, including 20 major singles titles, 28 ATP Masters titles, and a shared record of six ATP Finals.

Considered the greatest female tennis player of all time, Williams holds a combined 39 major titles: 23 in singles. She is joint-third on the all-time list and second in the Open Era for total major titles.

Now retired, Sampras won 64 top-level singles titles (including 14 Grand Slam titles, 11 Super 9/ATP Masters Series/ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, and five Tennis Masters Cup titles).

Still active, she has captured 49 WTA singles titles. She is an Olympic medalist earning four gold medals across 2000, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics. Additionally, she won a silver medal during the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The Romanian has won 24 WTA Tour singles titles and finished runner-up 18 times.

Sharapova won thirty 6 WTA singles titles including five Grand Slams, one year-ending championship, six WTA Tier 1 singles titles, three WTA Premier Mandatory singles titles, and five WTA Premier 5 singles titles. She was also the silver medallist at the 2012 London Olympics.

Known for her powerful left-handed groundstrokes and variety, Kvitová has won 30 career singles titles, including two major titles at Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014. She also won a bronze medal for the Czech Republic at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
