The French champions confirmed that Dembele sustained a ‘serious’ hamstring injury, which would keep him out of action for up to six weeks. Doué, on the other hand, suffered a strain on his right calf and will need four weeks to recover.

PSG released a statement, accusing the federation of failing to be collaborative and transparent regarding the health and fitness of their players.

The Ligue 1 giants claimed to have sent a dossier containing the medical information of their players and the recommended amount of workload, but the federation did not heed the recommendations.

"The club regrets that these medical recommendations were not taken into account by the French national team's medical staff and that there was a total lack of consultation with its medical teams,” PSG said.
