"If it were up to me" - Kylian Mbappé delivers verdict on Ballon d'Or award
With just 15 days remaining until the Ballon d'Or ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Kylian Mbappé has named his favourite.
The Real Madrid forward is unequivocally backing Ousmane Dembélé, who won the Ligue 1 title and the 2024-25 Champions League with PSG.
Mbappe tips Dembele for Ballon d'Or
The French captain believes his compatriot Ousmane Dembélé should win the Ballon d'Or. "If we're talking about Yamal and Dembélé, I'd choose Ousmane. My vote is very clear!" stated the Real Madrid number ten in an interview with BILD, via Abola.
"I'd give the Ballon d'Or to Ousmane Dembélé. Do I really need to explain why? If we're talking about Yamal and Dembélé, I'd choose Dembélé."
"My choice is very clear. Dembélé deserves it. If it were up to me, I'd personally deliver it to his home. I hope Hakimi also ranks high," confessed the second-highest goal scorer in Les Bleus' history.
"He knows the club perfectly because he played for Real Madrid. Right now, we're just trying to implement what he tells us. We're trying to understand the game plan he has for us, and then we'll see what happens."
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé has claimed he wants to surpass Thierry Henry after equalling the French legend in France's all-time top scorer.
