According to reports from Sportal, swarm of bees descended upon the stadium, leading to the match being briefly halted.

Instinctively, everyone from players to ball boys and TV crews hit the turf to avoid being attacked by the bees.

While the scene might appear comical at first glance, the caution was well-founded. African bees, particularly in the eastern parts of the continent, are renowned for their extreme aggressiveness.

Though their venom isn't more potent than that of European bees, their relentless persistence and tendency for mass attacks make them far more dangerous and potentially lethal.

Fortunately, the incident concluded without any adverse effects, and after a short delay, the match resumed.

In other news, Nigerian coach Eric Chelle has fired a warning to Nigeria’s Super Eagles, insisting they must focus on Rwanda ahead of a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying showdown.
