Rasheedat Ajibade: Super Falcons captain scores for Atletico Madrid in derby

Super Falcons of Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade is back on the scoresheet for Atletico Madrid.

Ajibade was on target as Atletico Madrid recorded a 4-0 win against Madrid CFF in a Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino fuxture.

In a midweek fixture, Atletico Madrid went in front in the 21st minute from an own goal by Paola Ulloa.

That was the first half's only goal, as Atletico Madrid would force the issue after the break.

Ajibade would score the second for Atletico Madrid in the 51st minute assisted by Vilde Bøe Risa.

The third was an own goal by Emily Assis de Carvalho while Synee Jensen added a fourth.

Ajibade featured for 90 minutes and has now scored in back-to-back games.

She has been nominated for the Spanish Liga F’s Player of the Month award for September with two goal and a two assists.

The other nominees for the award are Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, Real Madrid’s Caroline Weir, Levante Badalona’s María Llompart, and Athletic Club Femenino’s Nerea Nevado.
