Nigeria-ignored Cyriel Dessers put on a man-of-the-match display to help Rangers see off Real Betis in the UEFA Europa League, UEL.
Desserts contributed two of the goals while Kamar Roofe netted the decisive winner to help the Gers an impressive 3-2 win against Betis on Thursday night.
Dessers’ Impact on Rangers
The 29-year-old proved to be a key player in the encounter as Rangers defeated their hosts to finish top of the group and book a spot in the knockout stage.
Desser created the game’s opener for Abdallah Sima before he restored the lead ten minutes later after Juan Miranda’s initial equaliser for the home side.
The Nigeria Super Eagles forward, who started and finished the match, also created two chances, made two key passes and scored with his only shot on target.

The UEL clash was an end-to-end encounter, with both sides looking for the win to secure a place in the next round.
