Report: Arsenal send secret scouts to monitor Victor Osimhen in Galatasaray as they prepare for shock move

Although they are not among the top runners for Victor Osimhen's signature, Arsenal are reportedly keen and have been secretly sending scouts to watch the Nigerian. 

Mikel Arteta's side currently line up without a main natural centre forward, with Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard both sharing the responsibility in instances. 

Hence, as Pulse Sports reported, former Arsenal defender William Gallas was left frustrated by the club's apparent unwillingness to throw their hat in the ring for Osimhen's signature. However, a recent report has revealed that not to be the case.

The Gunners were thought to be keen on Osimhen last summer but failed to pursue him due to his €130 million release clause. That number has now since halved, and more suitors are expected at Napoli's door. 

According to a report from Sports Witness, the Gunners never truly pulled out their interest and have secretly sent scouts to watch and report on the Nigerian’s progress in Turkey.

Should they pull the trigger, they will have to contend with fellow Premier League side Chelsea, who Mikel Obi is confident will return for Osimhen after nearing an agreement last summer. Also, Pulse Sports reported that Serie A sides AC Milan and Juventus are now in the running as well.
