What comes next?
The Germany international joined the Bundesliga outfit in the summer of 2023 after thriving in the Austrian Bundesliga with Salzburg, and the 22-year-old has had a mixed time in North Rhine-Westphalia.
While significant trophies have eluded BVB in both seasons, year one was commendable for Adeyemi but the concluded season fell short of expectations, culminating in Champions League disappointment.
