The Spanish international has been in sensational form for the Portuguese club this season, prompting the Red Devils to consider a blockbuster transfer swoop, according to the Daily Mail

Samu has scored 18 goals in 21 appearances for Porto this season, including a brace in their recent 4-0 victory over Boavista.

His impressive performances have attracted attention from several top clubs, with Chelsea also rumoured to be reigniting their interest in the young forward.

United are reportedly keen to bolster their attacking options and view Samu as an ideal addition to their squad.

However, Porto are determined to keep hold of their prized asset and are likely to demand a hefty fee for his services.

The forward has a release clause of €100 million (£83 million), which could prove to be a stumbling block for any potential suitors.

What next for Samu?

Although a move in the January transfer window seems implausible, Samu could depart Porto in the summer.
