Salah slams Liverpool fan for disrespecting his former teammates
Mohamed Salah has come out to defend his former teammates Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez after an apparent Liverpool fan put out a disrespectful tweet in a bid to prop up their new signings.
What happened
A Liverpool fan account on X with the handle “AnfieldEdition” tweeted a graphic to highlight the success of their summer transfer window.
In said post, departed forwards Diaz and Nunez were in black and white, and new signings Florian Wirtz and Isak were depicted in colour, with the caption, “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.”
How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions? https://t.co/lRug6oFYCt

Liverpool's ace, Salah, was unimpressed by the tweet and made sure to address it, saying, “How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”
Liverpool's transfer window
While the tweet from the fan account was misguided in its approach, it was certainly right in its suggestion that Liverpool have upgraded their offensive potential.
With the exit of Diaz, Nunez, Ben Doak, and Harvey Elliott in attacking positions, Liverpool brought in Wirtz, Isak, and Hugo Ekitike for a combined fee of over €300 million including add-ons.
The Reds far outspent every other team in the world this window and broke the British transfer record with the £125 million signing of Alexander Isak. They also brought in defenders Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Giovanni Leoni.
