Englan international Jadon Sancho has been spotted at the Manchester United training ground, Carrington, for the first time since he was reportedly banned from the first-team facilities by Erik ten Hag.
Sancho froze out of the squad
The 23-year-old last featured for the Red Devils on August 26. He was unnamed in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the following game, and what transpired after led to his continued absence.
Ten Hag cited a poor training ethic as the reason the former Dortmund forward was dropped against Arsenal; feeling aggrieved, the player took to social media to defend himself, claiming that he was being scapegoated.
The club put out a statement saying Sancho has been removed from first-team dynamics, with reports claiming the manager demanded an apology before the player could be reinstated, and Sancho has been reluctant.
Fresh reports in the past week claim Ten Hag has taken it further, banning Sancho from the club facilities until he apologises.
Sancho seen at Carrington
Despite the reports about Sancho’s ban, a picture surfaced online today showing the young winger at Carrington.
According to Goal, the winger was in attendance for Manchester United’s U-18 match on Saturday at Carrington, the same day the Red Devils senior team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.
Sancho posed with teammate Kobie Mainoo—who is currently injured—and a young fan after the game, and the picture is making the rounds on the internet.
