Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville apologises live on air for his colleagues ‘unprofessionalism’
The 48-year-old made an appearance at the Etihad with reporter Melissa Reddy on Saturday, prior to Manchester City's match against Liverpool.
However, during his preparation for the Liverpool and City game, an out-of-frame scream cut off his interview halfway through.
After that, the camera pivoted to reveal Carragher, Richards, and Sturridge getting ready for the game's live broadcast on Sky Sports.
Neville’s comment
Neville responded to the strange cry by saying, "Sorry, that's Carragher, Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge.
"I just can't laugh like that at any point in my life. These three seem to laugh... it's incredible."
Moments after answering Reddy's queries once again, the former England right-back brought up his old friends.
He said as reported by the Sun, "Just pan the camera round to these muppets over here, please. Just look at them."
Meanwhile, the game between Manchester City and Liverpool ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams failing to move top of the table.
However, the most talked about moment of the game was Erling Haaland becoming the fastest player in Premier League history to reach 50 goals
The Norweigan scored the opening goal for Manchester City before Trent Alexander Arnold scored Liverpool's equaliser.
