‘So we will see’ - Super Eagles legend Obafemi Martins reveals the country his son will play
Kevin Martins, who was born in Milan nineteen years ago, is qualified to represent both his native Italy and the Super Eagles and Black Stars through his mother and father, respectively.
The Italian Football Federation has taken the initiative to move ahead of other national teams for his services.
The gifted forward, though, is not currently committed to the Italian team and may still choose Ghana or Nigeria.
Martins wants Nigeria
Martins has stated that he would rather his son play for Nigeria over Ghana's Black Stars or Italy's La Nazionale.
Earlier this week, Obafemi Martins told Babatunde Ojora when he asked if his son Kevin would play for the Super Eagles, "Hopefully sure. We'll see, as he's part Nigerian.
“When I used to play (for Nigeria), we have a lot of strikers that scored goals…. We played as a team.”

“Hopefully my son represents Nigeria, he’s half Nigerian.”

Kevin's paternal uncle, Oladipupo Martins, was a football player, and his maternal uncle, Mario Balotelli, was a former Manchester City striker.
His speed and dribbling skills are similar to his father's, both in terms of appearance and style of play.
Meanwhile, Martins has backed his former team Inter Milan to win Serie A ahead of Ademola Lookman's Atalanta this season.
At the moment, Inter are second on the league table behind Atalanta in first place as they look to claim the Scudetto at the end of the season.
