'Super Falcons to face Algeria in Ikenne, not Lagos' - NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced a change of venue for the first leg of the international friendly match between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and their Algerian counterparts.

The first encounter, originally planned for Lagos, will now be played at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne, Ogun State, on Saturday, October 26th with the kick-off time for both matches remains 4 pm.

In a statement released by NFF that specifically addresses media personnel, stating, "This is to respectfully call on Editors/Managers of the nation's sporting media to send in requests for media accreditation for the International Friendly Match between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Fennecs of Algeria."

The release clarifies the accreditation process, highlighting the distinction between covering the first match in Ikenne and the second match in Lagos.

"The match will take place at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne, Ogun State on Saturday, 26th October 2024, starting from 4pm. (There is a second match between both countries that is scheduled for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos on Tuesday, 29th October 2024)

Super Falcons returned home to Nigeria after three defeats in three games.

"This call is for those interested in covering the first match in Ikenne. (There is a different accreditation for the second match that is scheduled for Lagos)."

The Super Falcons will be without African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala as home-based players dominates the team.
