SUPER KAI! Arsenal's Havertz becomes Germany's third highest EURO goalscorer - but Musiala continues to steal show
Kai Havertz's goal in Germany's 2-0 win over Denmark has seen the Arsenal star cement his place as one of his country's all-time top goalscorers at the European Championships.
The 25-year-old's penalty in the second half helped the hosts seal their spot in the quarterfinal of EURO 2024 on Saturday.
Kai Havertz earns a place in Germany’s history
Havertz's strike against the eliminated Danes means he has now scored four goals at the Euros, putting him joint-third on the all-time list for Germany alongside legendary striker Mario Gómez.
Only Jürgen Klinsmann, with five goals, has scored more for Die Mannschaft at the European Championship than Havertz and Gómez.
But while Havertz continues to cement his status as a key player for his national team, it was his Bayern Munich team-mate Jamal Musiala who once again stole the show in Germany's win over Denmark.
The 21-year-old sensation opened the scoring in the second half with a clinical finish, taking his tally to three goals for the tournament - the most of any German player so far.
Musiala's red-hot form in front of goal has been a real highlight for the hosts, who will now face either Georgia or Spain in the quarter-finals next week as they bid to lift the trophy on home soil.
And with Havertz also contributing with another vital goal, Julian Nagelsmann's side looks to be hitting their stride at the perfect time as they close in on European glory.

The win over the Danes saw Germany join Switzerland in the last eight, with both teams impressing so far in the tournament.
But with Musiala and Havertz leading the line, the hosts will be confident of going all the way and being crowned European champions for the first time since 1996.
