Terem Moffi's Nice came back from two goals down to beat Montpellier 3-2 in dramatic fashion.
La Paillade hosted Didier Digard's side at Stade de la Mosson, and they started the match brilliantly, going two goals ahead; however, they let it slip and suffered a shocking defeat.
How it happened
Nice have tasted a win, a draw, and a defeat in their last three games. Their epileptic form makes it hard to call against another midtable side in Montpellier.
The hosts started with a pop, and their early pressure was rewarded with a goal before the 10th-minute mark, precisely the 7th minute. Teji Savanier's strike broke the deadlock in a match that promised goals.
The French midfielder made it two from the penalty spot, and Montpellier looked like they would run away with a victory; however, the visitors started to better apply themselves, slowly playing their way into the game.
Their efforts took until the second-half before they bore fruit, but when they did, it was bountiful. Former Everton man Ross Barkley pulled one back in the 53rd minute, and in the 67th, Gaetan Laborde's effort restored parity.
The forward completed the comeback in the 79th minute, assisted by Terem Moffi, to win all three points for Les Aiglons.
