Iniesta, who spent 22 years at Barcelona, winning 35 trophies including nine La Ligas and four UEFA Champions League titles, believes coaching could be a natural next step.

His illustrious playing career saw him win two historic trebles with Barcelona and the FIFA World Cup with Spain in 2010.

What Iniesta said

In an interview with El Pais, Spanish football legend shared his aspirations, saying, "I’d like to become a coach one day. There’s still time. I’m still in the early stages. But yes, I like it."

After departing Barcelona in 2018, Iniesta embarked on a new chapter in his career, signing with J1 League club Vissel Kobe.

He spent five successful years with the Japanese club before moving to UAE Pro League side Emirates in 2023.
