Tsimikas set to leave Liverpool with Nottingham Forest a possible destination
The Greek international, affectionately known as the "Greek Scouser", joined the Reds from Olympiacos on August 10, 2020, for a fee of €13 million.
He made 115 appearances for Liverpool, contributing 18 assists. During his time at the club, he won a Premier League title, two League Cups, an FA Cup, and a Community Shield.
However, the defender was not involved in Liverpool's FA Community Shield loss to Crystal Palace. The Reds were defeated on penalties to win the trophy for the first time ever.
Tsimikas leaving Liverpool
After five years at Anfield, Tsimikas will be sold by Liverpool this summer, following the arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
The news was broken by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via Sportal, who highlighted that the Greek left-back was left out of the squad for the match against Crystal Palace and is poised for a new chapter.
"Kostas Tsimikas is expected to leave Liverpool, having been left out of the squad against Palace for this very reason. The player is ready to embark on a new challenge, with Nottingham Forest having approached him earlier in the transfer window," Romano tweeted.
While his next destination remains uncertain, Tsimikas has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, who have expressed interest in acquiring his services.
