The Gunners were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton at the Emirates Stadium. This meant they failed to capitalise on Liverpool's slip-up against Fulham, a setback in the title race.

What Arteta said

The Gunners boss told reporters after the match that his team's performance on the day deserved three points, and not the one they had to settle for.

“Very disappointing not to win the game. We fully deserved to win the game,” Arteta said, per the BBC.

"We conceded no shots. We dominated play. When we generated big chances, we didn’t score a goal."

When asked about some of Everton's tactics in the game, he said, "No. It doesn’t matter. Look at the intensity of what we generated in the second half.”

"[Frustrating], especially when we concede zero [chances] and dominate the game so much."

Meanwhile, Everton boss Sean Dyche was full of praise for his side for how they managed to nullify Arsenal's threats.
