Alisson missed ten Premier League matches due to injury, with Caoimhín Kelleher filling in for an extended period.

"The season was more difficult for me because of the injury. And not just this one, but last year's as well. It's never easy when injuries come back-to-back," he said, as quoted on the club's website.

"The team played fantastically throughout the season, though, which motivated me to work even harder to return as quickly as possible. I couldn't wait to rejoin a team performing so well.

"We started strongly right from the beginning and knew we had to step up our game with the change of managers. We wanted to achieve something special in his first season," Alisson shared.

"We played with desire and passion, showcased fantastic football, and managed to achieve something great. Winning the Premier League is incredibly difficult. Our style didn't change much under the new coach.

"Arne is an intelligent man and knows that we played well under Jürgen as well. He simply showed us what we could do better to raise our level. That's what we needed. We became champions and we are very happy," added the Brazilian.
