Barcelona have failed to win the last three matches in which Lamine Yamal was not involved in the start. The 17-year-old returned to the line-up today and influenced a 5-1 thumping of Mallorca.

Hansi Flick's side burst out of the gates, and their high-intensity start was rewarded in the 12th minute when Ferran Torres capitalised on a defensive mix-up to score his second goal of the season.

The visitors continued to create chances with Torres and Lamine Yamal squandering opportunities to double their lead after both being set up by Raphinha. However, Mallorca remained a threat on the counter and drew level shortly before halftime through Vedat Muriqi's tap-in, after Pablo Maffeo broke Barcelona's offside trap.

Barcelona reemerged with renewed purpose in the second half, and soon took the lead thanks to a penalty after Mojica fouled Yamal in the box. Raphinha assumed responsibility in Lewandowski’s absence and swept the ball into the bottom corner.

He made it three soon after he got in the Yamal's spectacular trivela delivery. With momentum firmly on their side, Flick's men added gloss to the scoreline with two late goals. Frenkie de Jong powered home a loose ball before turning provider for Pau Victor's simple finish, capping off a resounding victory for the visitors.
