‘You’ve seen the game’ - Leicester manager hails Ndidi following return from injury
This season, Ndidi has been one of Leicester’s best players but was hit by an injury that has seen him out of the team.
However, the Super Eagles star returned to the team but lost 2-1 in the Emirates FA Cup clash at Old Trafford on Friday night.
The Nigerian international was an unexpected addition to the starting lineup after being out for about two months.
Nistelrooy hails Ndidi’s return
Ruud van Nistelrooy highlighted Ndidi's excellence both on and off the ball and commended his leadership, impact, and collaboration with Boubakary Soumaré.
According to Leicestershire Live, he said, "You’ve seen the game, the way he played, the way he lifted the team, on the ball, off the ball. His performance was excellent, but also his leadership.
"Not only the captain’s armband he wore, the way he led the team, the way he demanded from his surroundings, coaching, talking, preventing situations from occurring.
"I thought Bouba and Wilf had a great partnership today on the ball but also off the ball to control the game."
Ndidi played a strong 58-minute shift in his first Foxes appearance since December 8, 2024, before giving way to Harry Winks.
His contribution to the game's first goal as halftime drew near was the high point of his effort.
However, the Foxes were unable to get the better of Man United and crashed out of the FA Cup via an equalizer in stoppage
